These guides are experts of the mountains and are here to take you on a discovery of the mountain in complete safety, and why not learn some new things while you’re there.

But what is the difference between a high-mountain guide and a mid-mountain guide?

The high-mountain guide is fully qualified and will teach you the right techniques to adopt in high altitudes or for activities that require specific equipment (harness, studded shoes, ropes, etc.). Whether you are at climbing spots, on a via ferrata course or mountain climbing, you will be able to climb in complete safety, depending on weather conditions and snow coverage.

The mid-mountain guide (AMM in French) will take you to explore mountain habitats, and will reveal some of the secrets to you. These guides cover a wide range of activities (hiking, snow-shoeing, etc.); come and experience the joys of the mountain and at the same time, discover the wildlife, local and human heritage of the area.
