Alpes Isère Tour – 33rd edition – stage 5

The Alpes Isère Tour in a nutshell:
- History: The Alpes Isère Tour was created in 1991 by COTNI - Comité d'Organisation du Tour Nord Isère.
- It's a prestigious sporting event that has earned a reputation as a category 2.2 event on the international cycling calendar.
- A stage race held over 5 days in May. The race consists of 5 stages, including a combination of mountain and flat stages.

The route changes every year.

- Distinctive jerseys : Several distinctive jerseys are awarded to riders based on their performance in different categories.

- The Yellow Jersey: Overall individual time classification
- Maillot Violet: Best climber classification
- The Green Jersey: Points classification
- The Red Jersey: Combativeness ranking

- 20 World Team, Continental and Elite teams with more than 10 different nationalities.

It's a demanding competition that tests riders' resilience, endurance and strategy. At this sporting gathering, you'll find the main players from the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, as well as the Isère département, currently a major partner of this race.

Arrival on avenue de la Gare at the bus station around 4.30pm. Family events will be organized by the Isère department throughout the day of May 26, 2024.
