About : Visite guidée de l’exposition “animaux et paysages” de Jean-Marc ROCHETTE

Jean-Marc Rochette, originally from Grenoble, was destined to work as a high mountain guide. In 1976, after a serious accident, he gave up mountaineering and became a comic book author. He then published in Actuel and Écho des savanes and created the series Edmond le cochon with M. Veyron. In 1984, in the review (A suivre) he composed with J. Lob, the first volume of the series Transperceneige. After a foray into his youth (Coyote Mauve, with Cornette, Le Petit Poucet), he returned to SF at the end of the 1990s by taking over Le Transperceneige and creating Le Tribut with Benjamin Legrand. In 2003, with René Pétillon, he signed the burlesque series Louis et Dico. After seven years spent in Berlin where he devoted himself exclusively to painting, he published Transperceneige, Terminus (2015) and Ailefroide (2018) in collaboration with Olivier Bocquet. In 2019, he published two new albums: The Wolf, tale of a clash between a shepherd and a wolf, and Snowpiercer extinctions, cycle 1, with Matz in the screenplay, a prequel to the Snowpiercer saga.

From tragedy to humor, from realism to fantasy, an outstanding graphic designer!
