Ceramics workshop les by Françoise Coindre from "Boutique Bohême", using slabs of white clay. This technique enables both beginners and experienced potters to easily make large items.
Descriptif Ceramics workshop in the museum
This technique, which does not involve a potter's wheel, is ideal for making a wide range of items through assembling slabs to make boxes and cylinders.
The slab is made by spreading the clay on hessian, for example, with a wooden roller (such as a rolling pin) or with a crusher.
Wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, and for those who can, bring a rolling pin.
